We are a north Dallas church, with members coming from a wide area including Richardson, Addison, Garland, Plano and beyond. As a neighborhood church, we find ways to help people grow in faith and serve God in their communities and beyond.

We stand firm in Biblical Truth and live in the grace of God available through His Son Jesus Christ.  

From family worship to programs for mature adults, our mission is to aid in the spiritual growth of individuals so each can develop into daily followers of Christ and go into the world to share the Good News.

HISTORY

Spring Valley was “planted” as a neighborhood Methodist church in the wheat fields of north Dallas, just as homes and schools were beginning to spring up more than 50 years ago. A small group of visionary founding families believed the new neighborhoods would need their own Methodist church. These founding families were devoted to spreading the love of Jesus Christ, extending Christian goodness into communities through missions near and far, and helping individuals and families strengthen their personal relationships with God. Their actions ignited a congregation of like-minded people and set the friendly, loving and community service-orientation of Spring Valley UMC that continues today.
