Common Ground is a contemporary worshipping community that gathers every Sunday at 11 A.M. in Wesley Hall. We come together from different backgrounds, ages, races, and opinions to find common ground in Christ. In today's polarized and divided society, we believe it is important to stand together by the grace of God because as it says in Galatians 3:28, "We are all one in Christ Jesus."

Bible 101

This Fall we are taking a journey through the Bible to explore how it was written, why it was written, and discover how the original hearers of scripture would have received these words. We break down some of the confusing and often troubling questions that scripture raises such as “Why is the God of the Old Testament so violent?” and “How does God allow suffering?” We will also tackle some of the current social issues facing us today and how the arc of these sacred texts bends toward God’s love and inclusion.
