Spring Valley in Missions
NETWORK is a nonprofit organization supported by a coalition of churches, civic and social organizations, businesses and individuals serving primarily the Richardson Independent School District. The program has assisted over 100,000 families since 1986; there are some 200 volunteers currently active in the organization. Services include food, clothing, limited financial assistance for rent and utilities, prescriptions, bus tickets, and gasoline. NETWORK has referrals for doctors, dentists, counseling, car repairs, shelter, and much more.
On the second Sunday each month, we collect non-perishable food and financial gifts for Network. Please bring cans, boxes, or bags of appropriate food as you come for worship. Some suggestions are: small sizes of items, non-perishable foods, baby diapers, food, formula, laundry products, and personal-care items which are not available with food stamps. On average, more than 40,000 pounds of food are distributed monthly! For information about Network, call Georgia Goodrum, 972-235-9855.
